Crockpot Bacon Wrapped Water Chestnuts

These Bacon Wrapped Water Chestnuts has been a HUGE favorite of my family for YEARS.  We always seem to have this whenever we need to make a little appetizer or snack for a party.  :)  ENJOY!!

Crockpot Bacon Wrapped Water Chestnuts

Ingredients

  • 1 lb sliced bacon
  • 16 oz whole water chestnuts, rinsed and drained
  • 1 c ketchup
  • 1 c packed brown sugar

Instructions

Cut bacon strips into halves; wrap a strip around each water chestnut and secure with wooden toothpicks.

Place in an ungreased, flat baking pan; we line our pan with foil for easy cleanup!

Bake at 375 degrees for 25 minutes or until bacon is crisp.

Meanwhile, in a small saucepan combine ketchup and brown sugar; cook and stir over medium heat until sugar has dissolved.

Add chestnuts to a crockpot and pour ketchup mixture over-top.

Cook on low for 2-3 hours.
