Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice movie review

I really enjoyed the Christian Bale Batman movies, so when I heard they were doing Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice another one without him, I was kind of disappointed.  However, when I heard that Ben Affleck was going to be the new Batman, I got super excited!  As you may or may not know, I’m a huge Affleck fan!  :)  I was kind of sadden to hear all of the negativity surrounding Affleck in the role, but I knew it was going to be great, and it was!  :)  It’s definitely a different type of Batman than Bale’s role, but it was still 100% enjoyable.

Now, I’ll admit, I’m not a HUGE comic fan.  I haven’t kept up on the Superman movies, Spider Man movies, etc.  But I know enough to get by and will say that if you’ve never seen a Batman movie before, or even a Superman movie, you will still love this.  Will you get it so much more if you know the back stories?  Probably.  But that doesn’t mean that one still can’t enjoy Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.  :)

Basically, the general public is concerned over having Superman on their planet and letting the “Dark Knight” (also known as Batman) pursue the streets of Gotham. While this is happening, a power-phobic Batman tries to attack Superman, all the while Superman tries to settle on a decision.  Then you have Lex Luthor, the criminal mastermind and millionaire, tring to use his own advantages to fight the “Man of Steel” (also known at Superman).

In the wake of the destruction of Metropolis, the people try to determine whether Superman should be praised as a hero or if he should turn himself over to the authorities. Batman on the other hand sees Superman as a danger to everyone and prepares to take on the Man of Steel himself.

In my opinion, I don’t feel like this is a kids movie; as it’s kind of creepy in many ways…so watch and enjoy this as an adult only movie night!  :)
