I love, love, LOVE me some cornbread. Like seriously, I can’t get enough of it! I love to try all different kinds of recipes for cornbread and I love to add things to the recipe to change it just slightly. This cornbread has that bit of tang from the jalapeno that I think everyone is going to love! And the cheddar…YUM…lets not forget the cheddar in this recipe that makes it so tasty and moist! YUM! SO GOOD! ENJOY!
Cheddar Jalapeno CornbreadPrint Recipe
- 1 tbsp butter
- 2 packages of cornbread mix
- 1 and 1/3 c of milk
- 1/2 + 1/4 c of cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 fresh jalapeno, seeded and diced
Heat up your oven to 400 degrees and place your 9" baking pan in the oven with a tablespoon of butter; you want your pan hot when you put in the cornbread.
Combine the mixes, milk, jalapeno, and 1/2 c cheese in a bowl and mix just until combined.
Pour into hot pan and top with 1/4 c cheddar cheese.
Bake for 20 minutes.
