- 20 Cortland apples, sliced
- 2 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp allspice
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg
- lemon juice
While cleaning and slicing your apples, place them in a bowl with some lemon juice so the apples do not turn colors.
Place the slices in a medium to large pot and add spices; cook until apples are tender (about 20 to 30 minutes).
Once fully cooked, mash apples with a potato masher or place within a VitaMix to blend until they reach a desired consistency!
This recipe works well to can in large batches; so use your desired canning method appropriately.
