Who doesn’t love the deliciousness of Homemade Cinnamon Applesauce?  After making this recipe you’ll honestly have no reason to ever purchase applesauce from the store ever again.  :)  This great recipe for Cinnamon Applesauce comes out AMAZINGLY good each and every time.  Definitely a recipe for the books for both young and old!  The following recipe will give you about 6 pints depending on how large the apples are.  :)  ENJOY!

  • 20 Cortland apples, sliced
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp allspice
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • lemon juice



While cleaning and slicing your apples, place them in a bowl with some lemon juice so the apples do not turn colors.


Place the slices in a medium to large pot and add spices; cook until apples are tender (about 20 to 30 minutes).


Once fully cooked, mash apples with a potato masher or place within a VitaMix to blend until they reach a desired consistency!


This recipe works well to can in large batches; so use your desired canning method appropriately.
