Last weekend my family and I attended the Fabulous Food Show in Cleveland. It was the 7th year of the show and our 2nd year in attendance. I will say that last year (our first year) was much better than this year. While it was fun, it’s always fun when food is involved, I feel like there were less vendors this year and not as much of a wide variety of vendors.
If you don’t know, the Fabulous Food Show is midwest’s largest “Taste, Try & Buy” culinary celebration. It specializes in a full weekend of performances by celebrity chefs, exhibitors selling and sampling products, and a pavilion of wines, beers and spirits. With coupons, it cost us $22/person and if you wanted to see the celebrity chefs and taste the wines, beers, and spirits, that was all extra. You can also learn free tips and techniques from one of their six demonstration stages throughout the weekend.
Last year I felt like they focused on the vendors whereas this year it was all about the wines, beers, and spirits and celebrity chefs. They did have some cool celebrity Chefs like hometown boy Michael Symon, Jeff Mauro, Guy Fieri, Anne Burrell, and Sara Moulton. Again, I did have a good time, but I was kind of bummed when I was on my way home. Here are some photos of some items I purchased, as well as some cakes that were created for the event.
