Crockpot Cider Braised Pork Roast recipe

I LOVE a good crockpot recipe…just set it and forget it…and that’s what this is all about!  The pork is so unbelievably tender and the apples and cider really pack on the flavor that everyone will love!  It’s perfect for a fall evening on those busy weeknights!  :)  ENJOY!!

Crockpot Cider Braised Pork Roast

Ingredients

  • medium onion, sliced
  • 2 tbsp canola oil
  • 4 lb boneless pork roast
  • 2 tsp coarse salt
  • 1/2 tsp freshly ground pepper
  • 1 and 1/2 c apple cider
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 3 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1/4 c water

Instructions

Spray crockpot with cooking spray and place onions on the bottom.

Sprinkle pork with salt and 1/2 tsp pepper and brown on all sides., then place pork over onions.

In small bowl mix cider and honey together and pour around pork.

Cook on low for 8 to 9 hours.

Remove pork from crockpot and shred into chunks.

Skim fat from cooking liquid in crockpot.

In small bowl, mix cornstarch and water, then stir into cooking liquid in crockpot; increase heat setting to High for 1-2 minutes, stirring constantly until gravy is thickened.

Serve with Mashed potatoes!
