I kept seeing this recipe EVERYWHERE online…and it’s been made 101 different ways. But when I saw this particular recipe, I had to try it. My family loves peperoncini peppers and I don’t mind them in moderation, so I figured this would be a tasty treat for them. ALSO, what’s better than adding a stick of butter to a recipe?! :) The pot roast was SUPER tender and so flavorful! It’s definitely a recipe to try as I think your whole family will want seconds!! :) ENJOY!
Crockpot Mississippi Pot RoastPrint Recipe
- 3 lb chuck roast
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 packet ranch dressing mix
- 1 packet dry onion soup mix
- 1 stick butter
- 8 peperoncini peppers
Add oil to hot skillet, season beef with salt and pepper, and brown the beef on all sides!
Transfer meat to slow cooker and sprinkle packets of dry ranch dressing and onion soup mixes on top.
Top with a stick of butter then place peppers on and around roast.
Cover and cook on low for 8 hours.
Take two forks and start shredding the meat; discarding any big fatty pieces.
You may serve on top of mashed potatoes!
