Glazed Orange Cranberry Cookies recipe

We also made these cookies for Christmas one year, but I really think they would be a delicious Spring treat when you’re looking for that freshness dessert treat for your next gathering!  They’re so soft, tart but sweet, and definitely delicious!!  :)  ENJOY!

Glazed Orange Cranberry Cookies

  • Cookies
  • 1 c butter, softened
  • 1/2 c white sugar
  • 1 c brown sugar, packed
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 tbsp orange zest, grated
  • 2 tbsp orange juice
  • 2 and 1/2 c all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 c cranberries
  • 1/2 c pecans, chopped
  • Glaze
  • 1 tsp orange zest, grated
  • 3 tbsp orange juice
  • 1 and 1/2 cs confectioners’ sugar



Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.


With an electric mixer cream together the butter and sugars until smooth; then add the egg and vanilla and beat until well blended.


Stir in orange zest and orange juice; then add in flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.


Finally, stir in cranberries and pecans.


Drop dough by rounded tablespoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets.


Bake for 8-10 minutes, until the edges are just golden.


Remove from cookie sheets to cool on wire racks.


In a small bowl stir together ingredients for glaze until smooth, then drizzle over cooled cookies and let stand until set.
