Grandma's Cherry Delight recipe

This is dessert that my grandma has been making for YEARS.  It’s one that everyone looks forward to at all holiday gatherings and pretty much any time she visits!  :)  Oddly enough, it’s not that hard to make, but we always let her make it (because it tastes so good).  It’s pretty much like an enlarged pie; everyone will love it!  The funny thing is, the recipe is for a 9×9″, but I’m pretty sure she doubles it because we’ve only seen it in a 9×13″!  :)  ENJOY!

Grandma's Cherry Delight

  • 20 graham crackers, finely crushed
  • 1 and 1/2 c powered sugar
  • 1/4 c butter, melted
  • 8 oz cream cheese, room temperature
  • 8 oz whipped topping
  • 12 oz cherry pie filling



Mix graham cracker crumbs, 1/2 c powered sugar, and butter together in a bowl; then press into a 9x9" pan.


Whisk cream cheese, whipped topping, and 1 c powdered sugar together in a bowl until smooth; then spread over graham cracker crust.


Pour cherry pie filling over cream cheese mixture layer.


Refrigerate until firm (at least 1 hour).
