Homemade Taco Seasoning recipe

I don’t know about you, but when you buy those dry mixes in the packets at the store, you just never know what is inside those envelopes.  Well, now you can easily make your own dry mixes without the worry of excess salt and preservatives!  Honestly, this Homemade Taco Seasoning also makes a great gift!  Just mix all the ingredients up and make little tags to attach to them that provide the directions on how to use them.  :)  You can also find some neat containers at the Dollar store!  ENJOY!


Homemade Taco Seasoning

  • 1/2 c chili powder
  • 1/4 c onion powder
  • 1/8 c ground cumin
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp paprika
  • 1 tbsp sea salt



Three tablespoons of Seasoning Mix is equal to one 4-ounce package of taco seasoning mix.


Add 3 Tablespoons of mix to one pound of browned ground meat for tacos.


Store this in a dry, cool place.
