How to Create a Nemo Themed Birthday Party
Who’s adorable nieces turned 2 this Summer?! MINE! And it was obvious what type of party they wanted to have! “MEEEEEEEEEEEEEMO!” I mean…Nemo. :) So Nemo is what we did!
To be honest with you, I always see people go ALL out on party decor and whatnot, but with what we did, it took a small village to make it all happen on the day OF the party, not to mention the prepping before! But lets face it, they were turning TWO. Would the remember everything? Probably not. So we did what we could to make their day the best day ever; and I really think it was successful! :)
We had about 20 people here that day and about 90% of them were adults…so obviously making it too kiddie wasn’t in the best interest, but to make it something the girls would recognize and have fun looking at everything was a top priority. Keeping the Nemo theme, we stuck with the Royal Blue, Oranges, and Teal colors which turned out SO cute! Do you know how hard it is to do a NEMO party when this summer it was all about DORY? :)
So also we used the Cricut to help us out with out main decorations! We cute out the above cute little Nemo and Dory characters and created an adorable bunting banner that was the main focus of the party! Yes, the characters too FOREVER to put together, but I cannot get over how adorable they turned out! It was worth it because my nieces totally loved them!
Nemo confetti was scattered all across the table with hanging Nemo banners and streamers were also used! Don’t forget the spiral crepe paper decorating the tables.
We had some great food with Oven Roasted Sausage, Potatoes, and Peppers; Roasted Chicken and Veggie; Freshly Squeezed Blue Raspberry Lemonade; and Hot Ham and Cheese Sliders! About 14 of us got in the pool on the hot 90+ degree, Ohio day! SO MUCH fun and I really think my nieces enjoyed THEIR day. :)
