Photo Flip Book Tutorial

I never used to consider myself a crafter; however once I started this blog, it was only a matter of time before that changed!  :)  I LOVE to take photos, I mean, who doesn’t?  And with the technology today, Instagram allows you to take photos and share them quickly with family and friends.  But there are times where I want to show someone a photo, but not get out my phone and thumb through the options just to find that one photo.  That’s where a Photo Flip Book comes in handy!

Materials:

  • photos
  • white cardstock
  • small piece of felt
  • bakers twine
  • glue stick
  • printer

Directions

Using your printer, print out the following pages to create your flip book.  I have made it easy by creating them for you!  :)  All you have to do is print them on 8.5″x11″ white cardstock!

Once you have printed them, cut them out and fold them each in half.

Then cut your photos to fit within the white area of each  “page.”  I cut mine to about 3.75″x2.5″.

Then take your glue stick and glue each photo to each “page.”  Remember, the folded side will be on the right side when the book is complete.  The edge is the “spine” of the book.

Next, you can create a title for your book on the 1st page, if you’d like.

Then, put the book in proper order and make two holes for the “binder” to adhere to on the edge of the book (not on the folded edge).  I just used really sharp scissors to do so.

Next, cut some felt to fit along the edge of the book.  It will wrap around the front and the back of the book.

I then took the bakers twine and weaved it through the two holes and the felt to connect the book together.  I tied the twine in bow on the back of then book!  Then…TA-DA!!  :)

Isn’t it cute?!  I LOVED how it turned out!!
