I love lemon flavored dessert, sometimes more that rich chocolate ones and this one definitely packs the punch of flavor and sweetness! :) ENJOY!
Lemon Pound CakePrint Recipe
- 1 c butter, melted
- 2 c sugar
- 4 eggs
- 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 2 tbsp lemon zest
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 3 c flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 c milk
- powdered sugar
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Cream together the butter and sugar, then add in eggs one at a time mixing in between each addition.
Then mix in the lemon juice, lemon zest, and salt; finally mix in the flour, baking powder, and milk.
Grease and flour an angel food cake pan or fluted tube cake pan and pour the batter into pan.
Bake for 55-60 minutes until toothpick inserted comes out clean.
Let cool for 30 minutes before inverting onto a wire rack.
Top with powdered sugar and serve!
