NASCAR Pocono Raceway Review

Pocono Raceway

While on vacation in Pennsylvania, we had the opportunity to tour the Pocono Raceway.  While I’m not the biggest NASCAR fan, I will say that this was a pretty cool place.  It’s really big compared to what you see on TV.  We rode around in a van while the tour guide told us various things about the track and it’s history.  They even had a driving school that was racing around the track.  With just about 10 cars it was pretty loud, so I can’t even image what it would be like to drive with over 30 cars on the Pocono Raceway!

Pocono Raceway

Pocono Raceway (formerly Pocono International Raceway) also known as the Tricky Triangle, is a superspeedway located in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania at Long Pond. It is the site of two annual NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races held just weeks apart in June and August, and one NASCAR Camping World Truck Series event in August. Also, returning on July 7, 2013 will be the Izod IndyCar Series.

If you’re ever in the area and have a chance to stop by the Pocono Raceway.  Whether you’re a NASCAR fan or not.  :)  This is definitely a neat place to stop by yourself or even with your family.  The cool thing?  Watching it on TV after you’ve been there!  :)
