Polish Sausage with Homemade Sauerkraut recipe

This recipe is something that my family has had for years.  We normally have it work a Pork roast, but every now and then we’ll switch it up to Polish Sausage. It’s always been a hit because the sausage really flavors the sauerkraut.  It’s so simple you won’t even believe how delicious it’ll be!  Want a “set it up and forget it” recipe that you and your family will love?  This is it!  Yes, it’s that easy!  ENJOY!

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

In a dutch oven warm up on low and mix sauerkraut and brown sugar together to liking.

Add sausage on top of the sauerkraut and place in the oven.

Cover and bake until heated through and sausage is to desired done-ness, approximately 1 hour.

Serve with homemade mashed potatoes; don't forget to place the sauerkraut on top of the potatoes!
