This Penne and Ham Primavera recipe has become a staple in our house. I will admit that it sounds kind of weird, but the combination is delicious! We have altered the original recipe a bit to fit our family’s likes, but I don’t see why you couldn’t add your own spin! ENJOY!
Penne and Ham PrimaveraPrint Recipe
- 2 c penne, uncooked
- 2 red/yellow/orange bell peppers
- 2 c ham, fully cooked and cubed
- 1/2 c Italian dressing
- 1 can of diced tomatoes
- 1/4 c fresh basil leaves, chopped
- 1/3 c Parmesan cheese
- ground pepper, if desired
Cook pasta as directed on package, adding bell peppers during last 3 to 4 minutes of cooking; drain.
Return pasta mixture to saucepan and add ham, dressing, and tomatoes.
Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until hot.
Sprinkle with basil, cheese and pepper.
