The Equalizer movie review

Before I start the review, I want to make it known that this is in no way a family movie, or even a movie that kids should watch.  LOL  While I’m a HUGE fan of Denzel and love all of what he does, some of his movies I would never let my nieces watch until they’re MUCH, MUCH, older.  Haha…

This movie is about Robert McCall (Denzel Washington) and his mysterious past.  The movie starts out by you thinking he’s just a normal, kind-hearted guy who may have a slight case of OCD.  Then we begin to see a more in depth look at McCall’s daily activities and you have that feeling that he hasn’t always lived the quiet life.  When we see him interact a little more with a young girl named Teri (Chloe Grace Moretz), who happens to be under control of an ultra-violent Russian gangster.  Denzel’s character realizes that can’t stand idly by and has to get her out of the horrible situation.

McCall is armed with hidden skills that allow him to serve vengeance against anyone who would brutalize the helpless. He ends up coming out of his self-imposed retirement and finds his desire for justice once again.  If someone has a problem, if the odds are stacked against them, if they have nowhere else to turn: McCall will help

It was a good movie…would I recommend it?  Maybe not.  LOL  It is quite the graphic movie…but again, I do have a soft spot for Denzel.  :)
