This was a very simple project that I think really turned out cute! :) And honestly, the possibilities are endless on the color choices! They would probably also make great gifts!
- Two types of fabric
- Shelf liner
- Paper towels
- Sewing Machine
Cut your fabric and shelf liner about a half inch larger than the dimension of your suggested space. Take the fabric that is going to be on the bottom (this fabric will not be seen at all) and place the shelf liner on top. Pin paper towels to the shelf liner and the fabric.
We are going to sew the liner to the fabric and since the liner is rubber, it will not rub through your machine (hence the paper towels). :) So sew all the way around of the liner and fabric, then remove the paper towel slowly.
Next, place the second piece of fabric on top of the liner and sew three sides leaving one side open to pull it all through.
After you have pulled everything through, flatten out the edge and when you’re ready, it’s time to sew the edge closed. You may do this however you’d like, but I just folded it down and sewed across a few times. You may have to add some more paper towel because you’re sewing on the liner.
And there you have it!
